Converting bitcoin to cash from online poker
I’m really sorry if this has been asked before, I searched for about 10 minutes and didn’t find a thread. I’m new to bitcoin bout after about 30 minutes I got my feet under me, created a wallet, and got my funds from an online poker site transferred to my bitcoin wallet. So my question is what is the best way to convert that bitcoin to real cash. It looks like my best options are on shapeshift? Or to order a bitpay card online and then transfer funds to that and use one of the bitcoin atms located near me. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, I’ve never done it before so obviously alittle bit apprehensive.
death in family, new to bitcoin, need help converting bitcoin to cash for in-laws
This could be a super long story, but I'll try to make it short. We had an unexpected death on my wife's side of the family. Everyone is devastated. In the course of going through the belongings of the deceased, we found that he had a significant stash of bitcoin and bitcoin cash. The rest of the family is fairly tech illiterate, and because I'm slightly less so (only slightly), I've been trying to navigate this world for them. The amount is substantial enough that it would make a huge difference in the life of my in-laws. They're at retirement age but can't afford to stop working right now, so this would help them a lot. So I'm really anxious to get this money over to them. Here's where I need help. I was able to set up a Coinbase account for my in-laws, and transferred all of the currency into that account. I've linked the account to their bank and have done a small test transfer (which worked). Now I want to sell all of the bitcoin and bitcoin cash so that I can transfer the money into their bank account. However in going to do that I saw that there is a weekly limit of 10,000 USD for sells. This is a big roadblock, and given the little bit of price watching I've done and the volatility in the market, I am anxious to get these funds out asap. I just signed them up for increased limits, which apparently takes up to 4 business days to process, but I have no idea how high a limit they'll set. I'm nervous that I'm going to get stuck trying to sell this stuff off over the next several months while I'm watching the price drop. Is there somewhere else (other than Coinbase) I can go to sell off the bitcoin and bitcoin cash quickly so that I can maximize the amount of money that gets to my in-laws? Would really appreciate any and all advice. Thanks. TLDR- came into sizable bitcoin investment, need advice on how to convert to cash asap so that in-laws can retire.
How do I convert bitcoins to cash and pay the tax in Australia?
I bought bitcoins in cash from a bank. I was using a USB with tails on it to buy weed on the darkmarket about 3 years ago. I just found the USB and I have 5 bitcoins on it. This huge money for me. I sent the coins through a bitcoin mixer. Can I just put them on an exchange, sell and transfer to my bank account? One of my friends said I am stupid for mixing them because now I can't prove how I got them. Can I just transfer them to my bank account and just pay capital gains tax and make the assumption that I got them for $0? Will I get in any trouble with the tax office or the police?
Okay, so I know very little about bitcoin but I've dealt with it, somewhat. I have used it on a gaming website when my debit card wouldn't work. On this gaming site, I have a nice balance right now and I'd like to withdraw a check before I gamble it all away. The only problem is, they only give you one free withdrawal every 90 days, and I've used mine. To get a check right now, I would incur a $100 fee and that's way too high. They do however offer a free withdrawal if you withdrawal via bitcoin. My question is, if I were to withdrawl my balance via bitcoin to my bitcoin wallet, how do I convert that into cash? Transfer it to my bank account in US Dollars? Thank you as I'm pretty ignorant to bitcoin...
Hello Reddit. I'm looking to get some feedback from the Bitcoin community here if possible please. Our business builds fine wine investment portfolios for private individuals. We want to explore the idea of accepting Bitcoins as payment for fine wine (currently we only accept fiat currency). The idea is to provide a way to hedge against the fluctuations in the crypto currency prices and/or provide a way to convert BTC into fiat currency without the hassle of going through the exchanges. All transactions would go through our company established in 2009. A little more info on us and the idea can be found here. here http://apmwineinvestment.co.uk/paywithbitcoin/ Few bullet points below but any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Why buy fine wine with bitcoin? • Exposure to an asset with capital growth that's exempt from capital gains tax and income tax. (UK). • Lower your risk exposure to crypto currencies by diversifying into a tangible asset. • Fine wine can be used as a store of wealth. • Fine wine remains in the UK bonded system, it can be traded on the international market and can be sold in any country. • Wine can be liquidated and funds remitted via bank transfer instantly and globally. • No KYC or tax reporting requirements imposed when selling fine wine on behalf of our clients. • No minimum hold times, wine can be liquidated immediately.
Hello, I have been trying to send my BTC from my blockchain wallet to my coinbase wallet (to convert to cash) for a couple days now and all i get is "pending something" currently i have 2 transactions an no$_or_BTC_ they are just lost in the void. From my perspective it appears that the "virtual currency" dream has just collapsed. Any thoughts from the peanut gallery? Will I ever have the BTC returned to my wallets? If so how long. What is the actual problem?
